A story from Between Restless Jews and Weary Arabs

Dogs vs. cats

Amazed by the extraordinary bonding between Jews, I once asked Lydiane, "Why do Jews continue to marry among themselves more often than not, despite modern social changes?" She said, "My mother wasn't Jewish. So neither was I. But when I stayed with my Jewish aunt in London, who I looked exactly like, she said dogs only have sex with other dogs, not cats. My aunt died, and the family from my father's side distanced themselves from us. They all married other Jews."
